Booki vs Price Per Player: Cheap PPH Is Still Per Head
Price Per Player advertises "$7 per head or less" and two free weeks. That is the budget traditional PPH pitch. It is still a weekly charge per active player. Twenty active players at $7 is about $607 a month. Ten is about $303. Fifty is about $1,517. Booki Pro is $49.99 a month for up to 50 members. Twenty players over a year: $7,280 versus $599.88.
"Or less" does not change the structure. Two free weeks do not change the year. If you needed a full sportsbook at the low end of PPH pricing, this is built for that. If you needed a ledger, cheap per-head is still an expensive way to buy one.
Who should stay on Price Per Player
Stay if you want traditional PPH infrastructure and you are shopping on rate. Price Per Player positions itself as the affordable full shop: sports betting, live betting, a prop generator, horse racing, digital casino, live casino, and telephone service. Exact public tiers are not treated as locked here. What is advertised is $7 per head or less, plus two free weeks.
If your players use the casino, the racebook, or the phone desk, $7 a head is the low advertised price for that bundle. Booki does not offer it. Switching would drop capabilities you actually run.
This page is not aimed at high-volume PPH agents who need that stack. Keep the tool that matches the operation.
Who should switch to Booki
Switch if you are an independent organizer with about 8 to 50 known members, you already collect and pay outside the platform, and the "full sportsbook" is idle. That group is overpaying for PPH whether the quote is $7 or $10. The break-even against $49.99 a month, at $7 a head per week, sits under two active players. There is no realistic friend-group size where per-head billing is the cheaper structure.
Booki is pick-tracking and bankroll management SaaS at bookisports.com. Be The House. Not a sportsbook. Does not process payments or handle funds. Features: live odds (Odds API), automated grading for moneylines, spreads, totals and parlays (futures are graded manually), credit and win limits, settlement reconciliation, a tamper-evident ledger, member invites, and a web app in the mobile browser. Cap: 50 members. No casino, no racebook, no call center, no full branded sportsbook website.
If you needed the house, stay. If you needed a ledger, you are overpaying.
Feature and price comparison
Math uses 4.33 weeks per month and 52 weeks per year, and assumes every player is active. PPH vendors typically bill only players who wagered that week. We price Price Per Player at the advertised $7 for this table, not at an unpublished lower tier, and not at older roundup figures that we cannot verify on their current site.

How to switch
You are not importing a sportsbook. You are copying balances. Carry over each member's net balance as a starting adjustment, agree on current balances, and start fresh on picks. Historical tickets stay in the old system.
- Download or screenshot each player's net balance. Settle or void open tickets if you want one system of record going forward.
- Start Booki Pro. Send invites. Members join with the link or code.
- Post opening balances so the new ledger starts where the old one stopped. Do this once, with agreement.
- Set credit limits and win limits. Members place new picks against live odds. Grading and settlement posting are automatic.
- Keep paying each other the same way you do now. Record settle-ups in Booki. The software never moves money.
Start Pro at $49.99/month
A cheaper head rate is still a head rate. If your group is in the 8 to 50 range and the casino is dark, stop buying per-player weeks. Start Pro for $49.99/month.
